Could you find a better example of the media’s current obsession with focusing on only the negative aspects of fishing? The Sunday Times announced on its front page that there are only 100 adult cod left in the North Sea. The story was picked up and repeated by the BBC, the Sun and a whole array of newspapers national and regional. Except the correct figure is not 100. It’s 21million.
